Library Collection
The Research Library focuses on the subject areas of
economics and monetary policy. There are 65,000 volumes
and 400 banking and economics periodical titles. Among
library holdings are most economic research publications
of the Federal Reserve Districts and the Board of Governors
in Washington, D.C. This special collection includes
economic reviews, working papers, conference proceedings,
and current and historical statistical releases from
the Board of Governors. The library distributes, free
of charge, publications of the Boston Fed’s Research Department.
Visitor Hours
The Research Library is open to the public from 9:00am
to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. You must have a government-issued
form of identification to enter the building.
Reference Desk
The Boston Fed’s librarians will assist visitors
with the use of the library’s resources as well as answering
reference questions by phone or email. Please check

The Library accepts InterLibrary Loan requests through
