In addition, this page highlights regional trade events and educational opportunities that may benefit First District financial institutions.

FRB Boston Spring 2008 Financial Services Seminar Series
Last spring, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston held a seminar series to discuss how Reserve Bank products and services can help you meet the challenges of today's changing payments system, and to better prepare for the future. In addition to reviewing the latest in Reserve Bank Financial Services, we put the benefits of these services into context, with information on:

  • The latest information available about the consolidation of our Windsor Locks, CT, Check Processing Operations into our Philadelphia, PA office in 3Q2008.
  • The 2007 Federal Reserve Payments Study that examined retail payments during 2006, outlining trends since the previous 2003 study period.
  • Growth of image exchange and e-check conversion, both of which increased dramatically during 2007.
  • How strong growth in ACH, increased product offerings, and enhanced accessibility to the ACH network means increased risk exposure for financial institutions.
